How Does Teeth In a Day Work?

Teeth in a day is a special type of dental implant treatment. A minimal number of dental implants, typically four, are placed into the jawbone. Then, instead of waiting several months for osseointegration to complete before moving onto the next step, a temporary denture is placed at the end of your dental implant surgery. This means you won’t have to go a single day without your teeth, and you can begin enjoying your new, stable smile right away!

Am I A Candidate for Teeth in a Day?

  • You Need to be Healthy Enough for Minor Surgery
  • You’ll Have to be Free of Cavities & Gum Disease
  • Your Jawbone Needs to be Strong Enough
  • Can Help Patients Who Don’t Qualify for Implant Dentures

If you are missing all your natural teeth, then you’re likely a good candidate for teeth in a day. Whether you plan on having the last of your pearly whites extracted sometime soon or have been wearing a full denture for a while now, teeth in a day can help. To be a good candidate, you’ll need to have three key factors.

First, you need to be well enough to undergo minor oral surgery in order to have your dental implants placed. If necessary, we can work with your primary healthcare provider to get you on track for managing any conditions that could interfere with the success of your dental implants. Secondly, you need to be in a great oral health. Problems like gum disease and tooth decay can cause dental implant failure, so we’ll need to address these problems before moving on with your treatment.

Finally, you’ll need to have adequate jawbone density. Teeth in a day takes advantage of the thickest parts of the jawbone, so they require less jawbone tissue than traditional dental implants or implant dentures. However, you still need to have enough for the dental implants to fully integrate with. If you are lacking in this category, we may be able to help you with preliminary procedures like bone grafting.
